The Huron National Forest and the Glennie area have much to offer the visitor.
Following is a partial list of several of these attractions and activities.


AuSable National Scenic River- canoeing, fishing, swimming

AuSable River Queen Paddle Wheel Boat Trips- cruise the backwaters of the AuSable River at the Foote Dam

Fall Color Tours- tour area country roads for spectacular fall color

Hiking & Cross-Country Ski Trails- ski or hike Corsair in the Huron National Forest or the Highbanks Trail along the AuSable River

Iargo Springs- take the steps down to the Springs and boardwalk along the AuSable River

Kirtland's Warbler Tours- tours of the Kirtland's Warbler nesting area in the Huron National Forest

Lumberman’s Monument- monument to the lumbermen who harvested the pines that helped build the West, located on the banks of the AuSable River

Museums- county museums, lighthouse museums, Yankee Air Force museum

River Road National Scenic Byway- follows along the banks of the AuSable River

Tuttle Marsh Wildlife Area- 5000 acre wetland area created by the Forest Service, Ducks Unlimited and several other organizations
